| Sierra Leone doctor dies of Ebola at Nebraska hospital Posted: 17 Nov 2014 07:44 AM PST By Colleen Jenkins (Reuters) - A surgeon who contracted Ebola while working in Sierra Leone has died of the disease at a Nebraska hospital, medical officials said on Monday, the second death from the virus out of 10 known cases treated in the United States. Dr. Martin Salia, a native of Sierra Leone and a permanent U.S. resident, was suffering from advanced symptoms, including kidney and respiratory failure, when he arrived at the Nebraska Medical Center on Saturday, the hospital said in a statement. ... |
