Ray Tensing, 25, pleaded not guilty at the arraignment before Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas Judge Megan Shanahan in Cincinnati. Tensing was indicted on Wednesday on murder and voluntary manslaughter charges in the July 19 death of Samuel Dubose, 43, who was shot in the head during a traffic stop.

(Reuters) - Lawyers for both sides in Colorado's movie massacre trial are due to make closing arguments on Thursday in the penalty phase, then jurors will decide if mitigating factors such as mental illness outweigh aggravating ones that could justify the death penalty. After hearing 40-minute closing arguments, the panel will deliberate. If jurors vote unanimously that mitigating factors outweigh aggravating ones, Holmes will get an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for the July 20, 2012 mass shooting.
