NTSB member Bella Dinh-Zarr said the investigation would be difficult given the ship sank in an unknown location, possibly in 15,000-feet (4,750-meter) deep waters. The U.S. Coast Guard said the body of one presumed crew member was recovered.

The FBI had warned colleges and universities on Sunday about a recent social media post threatening violence on Monday at a Philadelphia college or university. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey told reporters that Tuesday's incident didn't seem to be related to Monday's threat or to the Oregon shooting.
